Rev. Yijin Caleb Li, born in Shanxi, China, is a fourth-generation
Christian. His family came to faith through the evangelistic efforts of the China Inland Mission team led by Rev. James Hudson Taylor. For over 150 years, the family has preserved the legacy of the Gospel through tumultuous social changes.

In the early 1990s, during a spiritual retreat, Rev. Li confessed his sins and repented, moved by the Holy Spirit. He felt called to ministry through the Scripture of Psalm 139:7-10. In 1995, he
moved to Beijing to further his theological education and training.

Rev. Li and his wife, Mrs. Lydia Shuju Cao, are blessed with a daughter and a son. After completing his Master of Divinity at Singapore Bible College from 2005 to 2009, Rev. Li returned to Beijing to plant churches. He founded two independent churches in Beijing and has been deeply influenced by Reformed theology. He actively promotes the Grace City Gospel Movement. During the pandemic in 2020, he began online pastoral care for a Chinese church in Canada and relocated with his family to Canada in early 2022 to continue his pastoral ministry. In August 2024, he moved to the United States to begin his pastoral service at the Dublin Baptist Chinese Church in Ohio.
