The Mission of Dublin Baptist Chinese Church is to exalt Jesus Christ, to obey the Great Commandment, to carry out the Great Commission, to share the gospel and to make disciples in Dublin and beyond among fellow Chinese for advancing the Kingdom of God.
Our History
Dublin Baptist Chinese Church (DBCC), located in Dublin, Ohio, is a Chinese Christian church that was established by God’s grace, Jesus’ precious blood, and the guidance of Holy Spirit to spread biblical truth, to live Christ-like lives, and to pass along the great love of Christ.
DBCC was established as a united church planting effort of Dublin Baptist Chinese Church and Columbus Chinese Christian Church West Ministry, supported by Dublin Baptist Church and Columbus Chinese Christian Church. DBCC was officially registered and constituted on January 1, 2021! All glory and praise to the Heavenly Father!
On January 5, 2018, Columbus Chinese Christian Church West Ministry rented space in the Indian Run United Methodist Church in Dublin to start to meet on Friday evenings as their church planting effort. Five adult evangelical groups and five bible study classes for children and youth were gradually established.
On February 25, 2018, brother Hailong Li, who was then studying at the Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary, started a Chinese Bible study class within Dublin Baptist Church. In August of the same year, brother Hailong Li completed his Master of Divinity degree and was ordained as a pastor by Dublin Baptist Church on November 25, 2018. On January 6, 2019, DBCC was established, starting with weekly Sunday worship, Friday night prayer meeting followed with Bible study, as well as monthly fellowship and community outreach with special topic seminars.
On December 8, 2019, the pastors and co-workers of Columbus Chinese Christian Church and Dublin Baptist Church began to discuss the joint effort of a united church planting ministry. Led by God’s almighty power and supported by Columbus Chinese Christian Church and Dublin Baptist Church, Dublin Baptist Chinese Church and Columbus Chinese Christian Church West Ministry were united by the same vision. On March 6, 2020, a unified church planting thanksgiving service was held, marking a new phase of working together in the Lord for the Great Commission.
Called by God, Pastor Hailong Li led coworkers to advance church planting ministry by building a whole-hearted serving team, strengthening Wednesday prayer meetings, adding Thursday elderly ministry, expanding Friday bible study groups and Sunday schools, emphasizing Sunday worship, and enhancing children and youth ministry. Despite the sweeping COVID-19 pandemic over the world in 2020, the abundant grace of our Lord is amazing! Through fervent prayer, seeking, and hard work for almost a year, DBCC was officially registered and constituted on January 1, 2021. The inauguration service of the new DBCC was held on March 7 2021. From then on, the co-workers of DBCC stand in the Lord’s grace, moving forward in unity to advance the kingdom of God for the Great Commission!
We pray to God that He will continue to lead DBCC, to point the people in this falling world and society to God’s light, to seek and find lost souls by God’s grace, to become an outlet for the gospel, and to finish God’s calling and mission for our church. Amen!
