The Mission of Dublin Baptist Chinese Church is to exalt Jesus Christ, to obey the Great Commandment, to carry out the Great Commission, to share the gospel and to make disciples in Dublin and beyond among fellow Chinese for advancing the Kingdom of God.
Our History
Dublin Baptist Chinese Church (DBCC), located in Dublin, Ohio, is a Baptist Chinese church established by God’s grace, Jesus’ precious blood, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to spread biblical truth, to live Christ-like lives, and to pass along the great love of Christ. DBCC was established as a united church planting efforts of DBCC and The West Ministry of Columbus Chinese Christian Church (CCCC), supported by Dublin Baptist Church (DBC). DBCC was officially registered and constituted on January 1st, 2021! All glory and praise to the Heavenly Father! On January 5, 2018, West Ministry of CCCC launched a gospel ministry at Indian Run United Methodist Church (IRUMC) to initiated a new program specifically focused on spreading the Christian gospel message with Bible studies, outreach events, preaching, and community engagements to share the teachings of Jesus Christ with others. Children and youth programs were also established. On February 25, 2018, Brother Joshua Hailong Li, who was then studying at the Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary, started a Chinese Bible class at DBC. In August, Brother Li completed his Master of Divinity degree and was ordained as a pastor by DBC on November 25, 2018.
On January 6, 2019, DBCC was established and started regular Mandarin Sunday Worship, Friday night programs, community outreach activities and seminars. On December 8, 2019, the pastors and co-workers of CCCC and DBC began to discuss the joint efforts to plant a Chinese church in Dublin, Ohio with a shared vision for both churches and God’s almighty power and support, on March 6, 2020, a unified church planting thanksgiving service was held, marking a new phase of serving together in the Lord to fulfill The Great Commission. Called by God, Rev. Joshua Hailong Li led coworkers to advance church planting ministry and DBCC was officially registered and constituted on January 1st, 2021 and the inauguration service was held on March 7, 2021. On August 7, 2024, Rev. Caleb Yijin Li graciously accepted God’s calling to be the pastor of DBCC.
